Her birth date was the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina is the full name of her. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American nationality. Her passion for sports was born as a toddler. Gerina began playing golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina went to Goddard High School. When she was a student in high school, she had won at the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. Also, she was an athlete in volleyball who played at the national level. 2003, she began her studies at The University of Texas. She won all of the tournaments she played in during her senior year. While in her university career, she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
